OUR MISSION

The mission of the Kaufman Neighborhood Development Organization, Inc. (KNDO) is to improve and provide decent and affordable low-income housing for independent seniors and independent disabled senior citizens in Kaufman and surrounding counties.

KNDO is constructing an 80 one bedroom unit independent senior living facility in an attempt to revitalize their neighborhood, provide low-cost senior services, and allow  the opportunity for seniors to "age in place". The apartment complex will house seniors 62 years of age and older - no children.

The City of Kaufman is an excellent Retirement Community "Located 30 miles southeast of Dallas and only 40 minutes from downtown, Kaufman is a community that is surrounded by incredible growth. Yet Kaufman still maintains its small town heritage by adopting development standards that are flexible enough to meet the challenges of new urbanism and still preserve what we have that is good... There are restaurateurs, retirees, media professionals, and basic people that make up our community."
